By integrating interns into our service model, we’re able to offer affordable and free counseling to those who might otherwise be left without care, all while training the future leaders of the field.

Our approach combines academic knowledge with real-world clinical experience. Interns at Just Us benefit from working directly with clients in a supervised environment. They gain practical skills,, and understand the complexities of client care—all of which are essential for their growth as mental health professionals.

All services provided by interns are carefully supervised by a licensed therapist ensuring that every client receives safe, ethical, and evidence-based care. Our commitment to high standards not only protects our clients but also sets a benchmark of excellence for our trainees.

Our Impact

Between October 2022 (our incorporation) and October 2024, we provided 3,334 free and low-cost counselling sessions to nearly 800 individuals while training 20 interns.
